New Logo

After much thought and consternation, I've designed a new logo for the Civics Education Network.  It's a much cleaner, more modern design.  I hope you like it.

  1. I like it. Though I’d suggest experimenting with the space between the first and second characters — it seems a little wide there.

  2. I have to agree with Daniel on the spacing, though I disagree you needed a new logo. It’s starting to look faceless and corportate. I still believe that logos should reflect what the entity does. The maple leaf of the old logo at the very least suggested something Canadian. This says, modern, trendy and indistinguisable from other letter-in-block logos, such as car insurance or lawyers.
Don’t get me wrong, you did a great job in creating it, and far better than I could ever do, but I’m giving you an honest opinion. I’m not sure if the purple was chosen ’cause you like the colour or because it’s Tory Blue and Liberal Red smashed together. I thought that was clever in choosing a colour. Arguably, the name already tells the viewer what CEN does, but I’d rather have seen a graduation cap hangin’ off a maple leave.
Still got lots of love for ya, and you’re genuinely awesome for what you’re doing. I’ll cheers ya 100 out of 100 times!
